Warrior Cats: Clans of the Forest is the first official Warrior Cats video game: a turn-based RPG where you create your own cat, join one of the four Clans and rise from apprentice to leader. It comes out on October 23, 2026 on PC, PS5, Xbox Series X|S, Switch and Switch 2. The four Clans
ThunderClan
Courageous · Dense forest
The Clan of the first books (Firestar's Clan). Forest hunters who stalk prey through undergrowth and climb trees.
RiverClan
Graceful · Marshland
Swimmers and fishers. In the books they are the only Clan comfortable in water.
WindClan
Swift · Open moorland
Fast moor runners who chase rabbits in the open, with little cover.
ShadowClan
Cunning · Dark pine swamp
Night hunters of the pines, known for cunning and for being the least trusted Clan.
You choose your Clan at the start. It sets your home territory, your base stats and which Saga you play. The full comparison is on which Clan to pick.
Game modes

What to do first
- Take your time in the cat creator. Your look feeds into personality traits with stat bonuses, and the name comes from preset parts. You can turn battle scars off in the settings.
- Pick the Clan whose story you want first. Each Clan has its own Saga and achievement, so you will want all four eventually.
- Pick up every herb and keep your Marigold. Herbs heal you, and Resourceful Feline wants 99 Marigold in your inventory at once.
- Feed the fresh-kill pile. Bringing prey back to camp is how you earn your Clan's favour, and 50 pieces unlocks Generous Paw.
- Stick with one cat for the collectibles. The 20 trees and 16 sunning spots must be done with the same cat.

How much is Warrior Cats: Clans of the Forest?

Is Warrior Cats: Clans of the Forest multiplayer?
Not in real time. The story is single-player. Skirmish Mode lets you battle other players' cats asynchronously, and you can visit friends' camps and dens online and gift them items or materials.
Can you play as a medicine cat?
No. Creative director Adam Johnston told IGN the player's path is anchored in the warrior ranks because each Saga ends with you leading your Clan. Medicine cats are in the story but not playable.
Is SkyClan in Clans of the Forest?
No. The game has the four original Clans: ThunderClan, RiverClan, WindClan and ShadowClan, each with its own Saga.
Is Clans of the Forest the same as the Roblox Warrior Cats game?
No. Warrior Cats: Ultimate Edition on Roblox is an open roleplay sandbox. Clans of the Forest is the first officially licensed console and PC game: a structured, turn-based RPG with four story campaigns.
Can you choose your cat's name?
From preset name parts. Trailer footage shows the creator offering a list of prefixes (Black, Spider, Dapple, Holly, Pine, Tiger and more) rather than free text, likely because other players can see your cat online.
