Loftia Platforms: Switch, Mac, Steam Deck and PC Requirements

At launch, Loftia is on Steam for Windows and Mac, and supports Steam Deck. A Nintendo Switch version is planned for later, with no date. Macs need Apple Silicon (M2 or newer); Intel Macs aren't supported. Here's the full platform picture and the system requirements.

Loftia on Switch

Qloud Games's FAQ says Switch “will come later”. There's no date, price or word on Switch 2. Two details are already clear: Loftia is online-only, so Switch players will need a Nintendo Switch Online membership, and you'll need to buy the game again on Switch even if you own it on Steam. These are minimums for Early Access. The studio says it is still optimising and expects Loftia to run better on older computers over time.

Cross-play and controllers

  • Controllers: supported alongside keyboard and mouse, which is what makes Steam Deck play workable.
  • Cross-play: a goal the studio is testing, not a promise. A decision will be announced later.
  • Servers: you play with people on the same server but can switch servers freely to join friends.
  • Languages: 14 at launch, with Traditional Chinese and Polish planned.

Frequently asked questions

Is Loftia on Nintendo Switch?

Not at launch. The studio says Switch will come later, with no date announced. Because Loftia is online-only, playing on Switch will need a Nintendo Switch Online membership.

Is Loftia on Switch 2?

The studio has only said 'Nintendo Switch'. It hasn't named Switch 2 or given a date, so treat any Switch 2 date you see as a guess.

Can I play Loftia on a Mac?

Yes, on Apple Silicon. The minimum is Apple M2 with 8 GB of memory on macOS 14 Sonoma. Intel Macs are not supported.

Does Loftia work on Steam Deck?

The studio says Loftia will support Steam Deck at Early Access launch, with controller support alongside keyboard and mouse. Valve hasn't published a Deck compatibility rating yet.

Will Loftia have cross-play?

Not confirmed. The studio is testing whether it can support cross-play and will announce a decision later. You also need to buy the game separately on each platform.

Is Loftia on PS5, Xbox or mobile?

No version has been announced for PlayStation, Xbox, iOS or Android. The studio says it aims to support more platforms after launch.
