    Deep Dish Dungeon Guide

    Updated

Deep Dish Dungeon is Behold Studios' first-person dungeon crawler about exploring, crafting and cooking your way down, solo or with two friends. It deliberately has no hand-holding, so these guides fill the gaps: where all 22 treasures are, the route to the credits, every puzzle and every recipe. Checked on October 23, 2026 against patch 1.0.50.0 (October 21, 2026).

    First hour tips

    1. Eat early. Cook the apple and mushroom at the first campfire and drink at the fountain to fill your three food blocks.
    2. Keep an empty slot for scrap metal and coal: the forge below the hub makes every key (5 coal + 8 scrap each).
    3. Swim with full stamina. The first eel can't catch you if you cross quickly.
    4. Torches go in your right hand to burn webs, and a torch in a holder can open a secret wall.
    5. Use the chests as storage and park key items (gems, the dagger) at camp.
The Workbench crafting menu: a stick plus a stone makes an arrow
The Workbench: tools and arrows from scavenged parts.
A skeleton rising between two braziers in a dark corridor, seen over a held bow
Skeletons wake when you get close.

    Latest patch

Patch 1.0.50.0 (October 21): backpacks stay on you after death; hosts can kick players and recover lost treasures; worlds keep a backup save; bats hit for 25 (red bats 35) and respawn every 20 minutes, eels every 10; the Grappling Hook is now crafted in the inventory and the Hook at the Workbench; the Cooking Table unlocks from leather instead of corn; headbob can be turned off.

    Frequently asked questions

    Is Deep Dish Dungeon co-op?

Yes: solo, or online co-op with up to two friends (three players), with cross-platform play. The host can kick players and recover lost treasures from the catalogue since patch 1.0.50.

How long is Deep Dish Dungeon?

There's no official figure. The game is built to be explored slowly without hand-holding; the route to the credits has two bosses, four gems and a final recipe, and the true ending needs all 22 treasures returned.

What happens to your backpack when you die?

Since patch 1.0.50.0 your backpack stays on you after death. Items you don't keep go into a bigger death pack you can go back for.

How much is Deep Dish Dungeon?

    $14.99 / €14.99 / £13.99 on Steam (15% off in launch week).
