What's in Store for 1.0
The full feature list for launch and the post-launch plans.
- An ending where you buy the store, plus end-game items.
- Four difficulty options, nine starting scenarios, new starting perks, 21 achievements.
- Vending machines that sell overnight; Steam Workshop with a modding API.
- Demo saves load in 1.0, but the developer recommends a new game. The demo is removed at launch and demo mods will likely break.
Demo Update: Aquafarmer
Fish farming arrives as a Wild's Network upgrade, the Retired Aquafarmer.
- You start with a basic circulation system, tilapia and fish food; eels and sturgeon are the more valuable species.
- Each species has its own habitat needs: tank water quality, filtration and an energy cell.
- Healthy fish lay and fertilize roe, which hatches into fry and grows into adults. Tanks can be upgraded.
- Butcher fish with a knife for meat; use Surgery Tools on sturgeon to harvest caviar.
- Slower and lower-maintenance than rat ranching, and the developer calls it more beginner-friendly.
Update 049: Release Date + New Demo
The October 28 date, the Steam demo and the largest patch so far.
- Toolbox: bind tools to keys 1–9. Dr. Jackson sells it after day 14.
- Bottle Printer upgrades unlock the normal and large bottle; the Vacuum Robot gets an incinerator upgrade.
- Multi-select, inventory sorting, item rotation with the mouse wheel and a Delete-to-trash key.
- Pouring wine into a liquid container now gives Wine Extract; winning lottery tickets redeem right away.
- Perk balance: Model Citizen's reward for reporting criminals rose from 20% to 50%; Intimidating now cuts evidence by 33% and costs 2 points; addiction perks start you with one item of your vice.
- Animal cages: wear scales with the size of the animals inside, and repairing with scrap restores half the durability.
- Fanta was renamed Phanta.
