Castlevania: Belmont's Curse Bosses in Route Order

    Updated

Castlevania: Belmont's Curse has 13 boss fights with their own achievement, from The Fallen in the Paris sewers to Dracula in his throne room. Here is the main route in order, what each boss unlocks (abilities and Arcana), and the share of Steam players who have beaten it on October 23, 2026, so you can see which fights are optional and which are late.

How many players beat each boss

Steam unlock rates for each fight's achievement, most-beaten first. More players have beaten Joan of Arc than Medusa, so many take the Prison Tower first; you need both keys either way.

    Fights off the main route

These bosses each give an Arcana and an achievement but aren't on the story path in our route source:

Beating Dracula the first time gives one ending; a second Dracula fight leads to another. Note that more players have the bad ending (34.6%) than have beaten Dracula (17.5%), and that the clock on the Clock Tower Bridge leads to Death's trap, a false ending, until you have beaten the real Isaac. Every ending achievement is on the achievements page.

    Frequently asked questions

How many bosses are in Castlevania: Belmont's Curse?

13 fights have their own Steam achievement: The Fallen, Joan of Arc, Medusa, Talos, Carmilla, Joan of Arc rematch, then Death, Mammon, The Scales of Justice, Arthur, The Succubus, The real Isaac, Dracula (two forms), Rose's shadow. Some are fought twice (Joan of Arc and Death return in Notre-Dame), and Dracula has two forms.

What order do you fight the bosses in?

The Fallen in the Paris sewers first. Then Medusa and Joan of Arc in either order (the Catacombs gate needs all three keys), Death in the Catacombs, then Dracula's castle: Talos, Carmilla, Mammon, Joan and Death again in Notre-Dame, the Scales of Justice, the real Isaac and finally Dracula.

Where do you get the double jump?

After the Death fight in the Notre-Dame Transept, reached through the Gallery of Eternal Night. The same stretch gives the Vampire Killer whip.

Is the Clock Tower Bridge clock an ending?

Taking the clock on the Clock Tower Bridge early leads to Death's trap, a false ending. After beating the real Isaac at the Heart of the Clock, the clock route avoids the trap.

    How many endings are there?

Three, each with an achievement: the bad ending (Belmont's fall, 34.6% of players), the normal ending (The hunt goes on, 14.1%) and the true ending (Curse lifted, 14.6%).
