All 16 Arcana in Castlevania: Belmont's Curse

    Updated

Castlevania: Belmont's Curse has 16 Arcana: Rose's starting card, The Cursed, plus 15 to collect. 11 are sealed from bosses you defeat and 4 come from characters. Here is every card with who gives it, its spell and MP cost, how many Works of Mercy upgrade it, and how many Steam players have beaten its boss (October 23, 2026).

    All 16 Arcana

In rough route order. “Beaten by” is the share of Steam players with that fight's achievement: a low number means a late or optional card. Boss order and areas are on the bosses page.

Every Arcana card: source, spell, MP cost, Works of Mercy and share of Steam players who have beaten its boss.

    The four character cards

These don't come from a boss fight, so they are easy to walk past:

    • The Artist (Masterpiece, 60 MP): smash the sculpture in Brauner's Atelier, off the Main Hall. This also opens the eye door to Mammon's Circle of Greed in the Catacombs.
    • The Whisperer (Freezing Path, 35 MP): beat Mammon, take the Ferryman's Obol from his treasure hoard and give it to the Ferryman.
    • The Judge (Chains of Justice, 40 MP): from Saint Louis, by passing the Scales of Justice in the Palace of Justice. Steam calls the achievement “Survive the Judge's verdict” ( 24.8% of players).
    • The Sage (Mirror Walk, 80 MP): from Queen Eleanor. Players reach her through the Hall of Mirrors, which opens after breaking the four mirror seals; activating every mirror of life is the Narcissus achievement (15.1%).

    Upgrading: Works of Mercy

Arcana don't level up with materials or money. Each card has its own Works of Mercy, small challenges you complete while playing. Every completed Work earns a Blessing, and every Blessing unlocks one Gift: a new effect on that card's spell.

    • 42 Works of Mercy across the 15 collectable cards. Most cards have three; The Prophetess, The Whisperer, The Zealot have two. The Cursed has two Works (one hidden as “???”) and one Gift.
    • To spend a Blessing: equip the Arcana, complete a Work, then pick the spell on the Arcanas screen and choose a Gift. A Gift only works while its card is equipped.
    • Unlocking every Blessing on every card is the Pick a card, any card achievement, held by 6.7% of Steam players. See all achievements.
    • True Belmont (31.9%) asks you to kill an enemy with The Fallen's spell, Holy Cross, while a whip is equipped: easy to grab early.
